Bringing a touch of glamour to the trail, Yves St Le Frog is such a fashionista, a truly devoted follower of fashion. No shrinking violet, Yves’ fluttering eyelashes will give you a cheeky stare as you admire her gorgeous goldand pink gown, shimmering in the Stockport sun.
Proudly sponsored by Totally Stockport
Totally Stockport is Stockport’s Business Improvement District, generally referred to as a BID and the organisation behind #Stockportfrogs.
The Stockport BID generates funds through a BID levy, contributed to qualifying businesses within the town centre. These funds are specifically ring-fenced for projects that will enhance the town centre’s offering and generate additional footfall attracting new and returning customers for the BID levy payers. Priorities include making the town centre a safer place for customers and employees; stimulating and inspiring businesses to improve choice; marketing all areas of the town and to make it easier to do business in Stockport.
Stockport’s £1bn regeneration plan is transforming Stockport, a gigantic leap forward for the town centre, creating exciting opportunities for business and a destination of choice for residents and visitors. Totally Stockport is celebrating Stockport’s future with this unique art trail – Stockport’s Gigantic Leap Frog Art Trail – creating an engaging and vibrant, outdoor art trail attracting thousands of people from across the region and an opportunity to showcase Stockport, its business community and show how the town centre is changing. After the trail closes, the frogs will be auctioned with proceeds going to St Ann’s Hospice.
Lovingly created by Jaz Stokoe
Jaz has always loved to paint from an early age and went to Chester Art College before studying fashion at Salford Uni. Being more into the illustration side rather than the design side, Jaz has had exhibitions in and around Manchester. She has been drawing her fashion illustrations since she was a child, everywhere and anywhere, “much to the annoyance of my parents.” As time has gone on, Jaz has painted other subjects as well and completed quite a lot of commissions; she considers her strong point to be colour and is to this day:
“I have a passion and love of flowers and painting my ladies in such vibrant media albeit watercolours or acrylics and even oils. As both an artist and a designer, my aim is to create art and design products to add beauty and colour to every home. I hope my ladies give sass and attitude and sparkle to Stockport.”
